Family Diabetes Education Weekend is scheduled for Saturday & Sunday, April 28-29, 2012 at the Y-camp, north of Boone, Iowa. Children with diabetes of all ages are encouraged to attend with their family members, close friend, grandparents, and even babysitters to learn about managing diabetes. It's a wonderful opportunity for families with newly diagnosed children or children who haven't attended summer camp yet. Everyone can learn from health professionals and meet "experienced parents" who can offer support and give tips. Children will have fun activities that include horseback riding.

Cost is $25 per person for the Saturday seminar (9 am - 5 pm) or $50 per person for the seminar plus overnight (includes 3 meals).
