Being a
staff member at Camp Hertko Hollow is a very rewarding
experience. We need physicians, nurses, pharmacists,
dietitians, and counselors to volunteer their time and energy.
Many health professional students appreciate the opportunity to
learn about diabetes first hand by living in a cabin with
campers and being involved in the many recreational activities
and monitoring duties. Not only will you be helping these
children learn about managing diabetes, you will also gain a
wealth of knowledge yourself.
The Y-Camp provides program and counseling staff and works
cooperatively with the medical staff and diabetes counselors to
provide a quality experience for the campers. For the safety of
our campers references and background checks are completed on
staff members.
