IF
you have diabetes and are in grades K thru 12 ----come
to CAMP HERTKO HOLLOW this summer !
(Iowa’s
Camp for youth ages 6-18 who happen to have diabetes)
IF your
parents can pay the full camp fee of $650 – THAT’S GREAT
!
(Fee is $325 for Mini-camp.) We
also welcome additional donations to help sponsor other campers
who need financial assistance.
IF your parents can contact a local service club, relative, business, or
any organization to get a sponsor for the full or partial camp
fee –THAT’S WONDERFUL ! Be sure to write down the name,
address, phone, and E-Mail of the sponsor on your application
form or with the check so that we can send a thank you letter.
Make checks payable to “Camp
Hertko Hollow”
and mail with your application. If necessary, the application
and check can be mailed separately.
It’s
really helpful to have many persons seeking camperships for Camp
Hertko Hollow. Local groups like Lions Clubs are usually very
happy to help---they just need to be asked. Often these clubs
will pay the entire camp fee. Just look in the phone book
under “Service Clubs”, ask your Chamber of Commerce, or contact
your health care team for assistance. Unwillingness to seek
campership funds will not affect acceptance of the camper’s
application
IF
you are
unable to find a sponsor, and need financial assistance, please
fill out the enclosed Application for Financial Aid. (Form is
not needed for those who get their own camperships
arranged.) We will arrange a partial or full campership
for you from funds that have been or are being made available to
Camp Hertko Hollow thru the “Hertko Hollow Children’s Diabetes
Camp Foundation” or from other donations to Camp Hertko
Hollow. Parents are asked to pay part of the camp fee
according to a sliding scale chart.
Please do
not allow the need for a campership stand in the way of your son
or daughter attending
Camp
Hertko Hollow. Your child will greatly benefit from the
experience and we are here to help get your child to camp!
